No, this is only a sample of what we can do.  We have a large portfolio of designs at the bakery as well of many display cakes. And, if you don’t see something that suits you, we are happy to work with you to design something unique!

Traditionally, groom’s cakes were chocolate cakes that could be offered in addition to a white wedding cake. Today, groom’s cakes portray hobbies, interests or talents of the groom. Popular themes include favorite sports teams, beer or alcoholic beverages, occupations, favorite colleges, talents, hobbies, shared jokes and more. Another trend we have been seeing are cakes that include a shared interest of the bride and groom.

Though they can be a fun addition to a wedding reception, groom’s cakes are optional. Wedding cake and/or sheet cakes can be offered or couples can choose to do a smaller wedding cake and supplement with a groom’s cake for extra servings. Groom’s cakes can also be displayed and enjoyed during the rehearsal dinner.

Because groom’s cakes are typically personalized and unique, pricing for groom’s cakes requires an individual price quote. Pricing can range based on size, shape and complexity of design. Please bring ideas for groom’s cakes during your free wedding consultation appointment!

We suggest ordering your wedding cake 4-6 months in advance. However, we allow orders to be placed up to one year prior to the wedding date. We offer wedding consultations by appointment Monday-Saturday.

Feel free to bring any pictures, sketches or ideas that you may have for your wedding cake, groom’s cake, cookie favors, etc. If you have already purchased a cake topper or other items that you wish to go on the cake, please bring those along. Swatches of color (from fabric, ribbon, paint swatches, etc.) that you plan to use on the cake are also helpful. Using these inspirations we are able to get a good sense of your unique wedding style. It is also helpful if you have an estimate of how many people you are expecting, when we are able to get into your venue for delivery and set-up, and the address of your venue.

During your consultation, you will be allowed to look through our picture books. After initial wedding information, we will go over different size options for the number of guests you are expecting. Once we have a size in mind, we can move to design. After the wedding cake design has been chosen, we can talk over groom’s cake options, sheet cakes, rentals, cookie favors and other options. After a draft of the order has been drawn up, guests will try an assortment of our cake flavors. The consultation concludes with a price quote and exchanging of contact information, delivery information, etc. Appointments typically take one hour.

We recommend having your cake delivered by our experienced delivery personnel. Normal delivery charges are based on distance traveled. There are extra charges for after-hour deliveries and also for Sunday deliveries.

Sure you can! We do that all the time. You can even combine elements on different cakes. Just be as specific as possible. We can take any design that we have already done and customize it for your event. We love to do new designs and add cakes to our portfolio. That makes decorating so much fun!

Many of the products baked at Cheri’s Bakery contain wheat flour, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, and soy ingredients. All of our products are mixed on shared equipment and packaged in such a way that they may come in contact with any of these known food allergens. If you have an allergy to any of these ingredients, we recommend you not consume any of our products. If you have any questions or concerns regarding allergens, please call the bakery.
